The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted commercial armed robbery that occurred just before 9:25 p.m. Sunday night at the Family Dollar Store, located at 1415 Rocky Creek Road. It was reported that the suspect, a black male, entered the store and approached an employee at the front counter. The suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded the clerk open the cash register and give him the money in the register. As the clerk was attempting to open the register, the suspect fled out of the store on foot.
The suspect was reported to be wearing a gray shirt covering his face, black jacket, black basketball shorts and black shoes. No other information is available on the suspect at this time. No one was injured during the incident.
