The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the Flash Foods Store, located at 5602 Thomaston Road. It was reported that a black male entered the store with a semi-automatic handgun and went behind the counter. He took an undisclosed amount of cash that was behind the counter. The suspect demanded the store clerk open the safe. When the clerk told him he could not open it, the suspect exited the store walking in the direction of the carwash next to the store. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The black male suspect was described as being around 5 feet 9 inches in height with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black long pants, white Nike tennis shoes with a black check, gray gloves and a white bandana tied around his face.
