The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place just after 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Tom’s Mart, at 3010 Houston Avenue.
It was reported that a male individual entered Tom’s Mart and brandished a firearm. He then demanded money from the store clerk. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot towards Rutherford Avenue. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, around six foot three to six foot four, and weighing between two hundred fifty to two hundred eighty pounds. The suspect wore a black face mask, jacket, and sweatpants, with white sneakers.
The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
