The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place just before 1:00AM this morning at the L&C Convenience Store, located at 917 Hillcrest Blvd. It was reported that two black male suspects approached the clerk, 41yr old Brij Patel, outside of the store. One of the suspects displayed a gun, demanding Patel’s cellphone and money. The suspects began struggling with Patel and he was shot in the right leg. The suspects then entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of money from the store. The suspects left the scene on foot headed towards Napier Ave. Patel was taken to the Navicent Health Hospital where he is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during the incident.
One suspect was wearing what appeared to be a black hoodie and black pants. The second suspect was wearing a black shirt and red shorts. Both were around five foot eight inches in height, medium build with dark skin.
