The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday night just before 9:00 p.m. at the FP Food Mart located at 2675 Montpelier Avenue. It was reported that the store employee exited the business with a deposit bag. Once inside his vehicle, he was approached by a black male. The suspect displayed a hand gun and demanded the deposit bag from the employee. The suspect grabbed the bag containing an undisclosed amount of currency and fled the area on foot.
No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as wearing no shirt, blue jeans with a black tee shirt covering his face. No other information is available at this time.
