The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Monday night at the Family Dollar Store, located at 3567 Houston Avenue. It was reported that two black male suspects entered the store. Both suspects approached the checkout counter with one suspect pointing a gun at the employee, demanding money from the cash register. The suspect with the gun grabbed the money from the register and both suspects ran out of the store. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect with the gun was described as being light-skinned, approximately 6 feet in height, wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, a long-sleeved blue shirt and a red ski mask. The second suspect was described as being dark-skinned, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches in height, wearing a blue jumpsuit and red ski mask.
