The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Monday night at the Family Dollar Store, located at 2529 Houston Avenue. It was reported that the suspect, entered the store and approached an employee at the front counter. The suspect was armed with a rifle. The suspect demanded money from the store employee. The employee gave the suspect the cash drawers with an undisclosed amount of money from the registers. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a black male. He was reported to be approximately 5’11” in height and weighs about 220 pounds. He was wearing a black and purple hooded jacket, black pants and shoes, He was also wearing a camouflage ski mask.
