The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Friday morning at around 9:30 a.m. at the Family Dollar located at 2584 Rockycreek Road. It was reported that the suspect entered the store and approached the employees at the front counter. He pointed the handgun at the employees and demanded the money from the registers. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the store on foot back towards the Wilshire Woods Apartments. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male. He is described as being in his 20’s, and approximately 6 feet in height. He was wearing all black clothing with a hoodie covering his face partially. A picture from the store’s video surveillance camera is attached.
