The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place just after 3:30PM this afternoon. Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a person shot at 3809 Fairmont Avenue.
It was reported that the victim 25 year old Marvin Lawson, of Macon was at the address on Fairmont Avenue with two other male acquaintances. All three were outside the residence in the backyard and were engaged in conversation. During the conversation an argument erupted. It was first reported that Lawson was shot twice, once in the neck and once in the head. After being transported to the Navicent Center it was learned that the wounds to Lawson’s neck were stab wounds and the wound to the head is a skull fracture caused from the gun being fired beside his head. Lawson is listed in stable condition.
Lawson ran from the scene to a nearby store at the corner of Fairmont Avenue and Napier Avenue which is approximately one block away. The other two males jumped into the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle was originally described as an olive green Pontiac Grand Prix with a “KEGs Limited Auto Sales” drive out tag displayed. Through further investigation it was discovered that the vehicle is a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE, four door, gold in color, with a “KEGs Limited Auto Sales” drive out tag displayed.
The two black males that were with Lawson at the time of the incident were identified as 29 year old, Laidric Davis, of Macon and 26 year old, Phillip Rozier Jr. , of Macon. It was reported that Davis is the subject that shot at and stabbed Lawson. Davis and Rozier are wanted for questioning in this incident.
