An investigation led to the arrest of 26 year old Bibb Sheriff’s Deputy Timothy Vashon Jones. Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Jones’s residence just before 2:00AM this morning in reference to a domestic dispute. It was reported that Jones’s wife was grabbed by Jones and held down on the bed. Jones’s wife screamed for other people in the house to help her. When one of the cousins and a friend of Jones entered the room they found Jones on top of his wife and proceeded to pull him off of her which allowed her to get out of the house to a neighbor’s home.
After further investigation Jones was charged with Simple Battery/Family Violence. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex. No bond has been set. Jones is also suspended from duty at the Bibb Sheriff’s Office pending an internal investigation.
