On Tuesday Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeffery Brian Prestridge was arrested for aggravated assault, aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on October 30, 2015 involving a female with whom Prestridge was involved in a relationship. Prestridge confined the victim by refusing to let her leave his residence. The female attempted to gather her personal items and leave when Prestridge threw her on the bed, choking and kicking her causing injury to the victim.
Internal Affairs Investigators also conducted an internal investigation on Prestridge. He was found to be in violation of the following policies of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office; Violation of Rules, Unbecoming Conduct and Conformance to Laws. Prestridge was terminated as an employee with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office by Sheriff David Davis this afternoon.
