The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating  a personal armed robbery that took place just after 7:00A.M Wednesday morning, near the dead-end of Goodwin Drive. It was reported that a 16yr old male was walking to the bus stop when he was approached by two black males. They had handguns and demanded he give them his phone and money. The suspects also took the victims shoes and backpack, and fled the scene on foot. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The victim was able to give deputies a description of the suspects. Deputies began searching the area and located the suspects on Ell Street. As the deputies approached the suspects ran. One of the suspects was caught after a brief foot chase. He was identified as 19 yr. old Michael Mitchell, from Warner Robins. The victim’s property was also recovered.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a red and black jacket with blue-jeans and was headed towards Anthony Road. Investigators are working on identifying the second suspect.
