On March 4, 2020, just before 5:42 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 3045 Hartley Bridge Road, the Designer Tan parking lot, in regards to an entering auto.

When deputies arrived they were informed by the female victim that when she pressed the unlock button on her vehicle remote, an unknown male opened her passenger side door and leaned inside the vehicle.

The victim told deputies that she then reached over and pulled the vehicle door closed and the male ran away. The victim followed the male while calling 911, to a residence in the 3100 block of Hartley Bridge Road.  When the male made it to the residence he could not get inside.  A vehicle later pulled up to this residence with another male inside and deputies made contact.

Deputies made contact and identified the suspect as 39-year-old Allen Duane Taylor, of Macon. The second male who arrived after the entering auto incident was 37-year-old Daniel Allen Gurr.

Taylor and Gurr were both taken into custody.

Taylor was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with one count of Entering Auto. He is being held on a $1300.00 bond at this time.

Gurr was taken into custody for drug possession. Gurr was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center and charged with  possession of schedule I controlled substance and marijuana. He is being held on a $10,980.00 bond.  Gurr was not involved in the entering auto.
