On Monday December 22, 2014 the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will host the first “Sheriff’s Christmas with a Deputy” from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Target store located at 4685 Presidential Parkway in Macon.
This program was made possible through a Target grant awarded to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $2,500.00. The Sheriff’s Office will utilize the granted funds to purchase Target gift cards at $125.00 each. Youth selected to participate in this program will be paired together and will be accompanied by a deputy to shop from their Christmas wish list.
The youth applications for this program were developed by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Outreach Section. The applicants met a criteria focused on low income households with other additional factors.
