The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Technical Support Unit is hosting an exercise today, August 21, 2015 through Sunday, August 23, 2015 to test communication’s equipment between multiple agencies and services in order to be able to work together as one unit in a situation when needed. Law enforcement and public safety agencies use many different types of radios and frequencies which can make it difficult to communicate with one another on a common channel.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Technical Support Unit is tasked and equipped to take the different radios and electronically patch them together to be able to better communicate with one another in situations that call for multiple agencies and services.
