Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators  made an second  arrest in the  investigation of the death of an infant that occurred at January 25, 2019 at  1:13am Friday morning. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Coliseum Northside Hospital in reference to an infant reported to be unresponsive.

It was reported that a 1 year old male infant was found unresponsive by his mother. The infant was then transported to the hospital by his mother and once at the hospital the infant was pronounced dead.

After  further investigation  into the incident it was discovered that the infant had been struck in the  head by his father, 21yr old  A’kym Henderson. The infant mother, 20yr old Jaimie Howard  was interviewed further this morning and it was discovered that she was present when Henderson struck the infant. Howard did not seek medical attention for the infant after the incident, until the infant became unresponsive.    After the interview Howard  was then transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where she was booked in on charges of felony murder.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Infant Death

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators  made an arrest in the  investigation of the death of an infant that occurred at 1:13am this morning. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Coliseum Northside Hospital in reference to an infant reported to be unresponsive.

It was reported that a 1 year old male infant was found unresponsive by his mother. The infant was then transported to the hospital by his mother and once at the hospital the infant was pronounced dead. At the time the infant was seen by hospital staff there was no visible injury.  An autopsy was performed today and it was discovered that the infant had a head injury.

After  further investigation  into the incident it was discovered that the infant had been struck in the  head by his father, 21yr old  A’kym Henderson. Henderson was interviewed and then transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where he was booked in on charges of felony murder.
