The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest related to a shooting incident that occurred Monday afternoon outside of 1296 Third Street, just before 6:00 p.m. It was reported that the victim, 45 year old Robert Jackson was outside the residence of when the suspect, 57 year old Juanita Lewis drove up in her pickup truck.
Lewis got out of the truck and started yelling about someone messing with her truck. Lewis approached Jackson and struck him. Jackson pushed Lewis back. Lewis went to her truck and got a revolver and shot Jackson in the left leg. After shooting Jackson, Lewis left the scene. Information was given to deputies of Lewis’s location. She was found by deputies and detained. The gun was also recovered. Lewis was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division to be questioned.
Juanita Lewis was charged with aggravated assault. She was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Lewis has a bond set at $16,700.00. Jackson was transported by ambulance to the Navicent Health Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
