Bibb County Sheriff’s  Deputies responded to the intersection of Petunia and Daffodil, in reference to a carjacking just before 4:30 p.m.  Deputies met with the victim, Gary Mullen from Rex Georgia. The victim stated he was at the intersection when two black males approached his vehicle, one brandishing a handgun. The victim stated the suspect with the gun demanded his wallet, cell phone and vehicle, a 2005 Honda CRV.

Deputies placed a lookout for the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was spotted moments after the lookout by deputies near Pansy Avenue. The deputies made a traffic stop on the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle,  two black males, ran from the vehicle. One of the males, identified as 18 year old Caleb Kendall, was apprehended by deputies. The second male suspect was able to escape. Kendell was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where he was booked for armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The victim was not injured during this incident. No further information on the second suspect is available at this time.
