The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred outside The Red Carpet Inn Motel at 2856 Jeffersonville Rd, around 11:19p.m. Friday night. It was reported, 29 year old Brandon Harris of Chicago who was outside Shark’s Restaurant, 2909 Jeffersonville Road. and 27 year old Riley Jackson, 27 years old, of Macon, was walking to the Sunoco Gas Station. Both were shot by an unidentified black male. Brandon Harris was transported to Coliseum Hospital where he died. Harris was pronounced dead by Coliseum Hospital Doctors at 11:52pm. The next of kin was notified. Riley Jackson was transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health where he is listed in stable condition.
The Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators are still questioning witnesses and investigating the incident. There is no further information available on the suspect at this time.
