The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigated a traffic accident that occurred at around 8:00am this morning. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an accident on I-75 South between Pierce Avenue and the I-75 South/I-16 East interchange.
It was reported that Tayvan Dilleshaw, 18years old of Saint Mary Georgia was traveling south on I-75 when traffic suddenly slowed down to a stop. Dilleshaw stated as he was braking to stop, his vehicle was struck from behind by a Topeka Farm tractor trailer, driven by 57 year old Jeffery Kimbler of Fort valley Georgia. Kimbler told deputies that he tried to stop his vehicle but could not before striking the Dodge Charger in the rear causing the vehicle to strike James Hendricks, 19 years old of Saint Mary Georgia in the rear of his 1998 Jeep Ranger. Hendricks vehicle then stroke a 2007 Chevy volt in the rear driven by Christopher Beeland of Juliette Georgia.
A passenger in Chevy volt vehicle complained of an injury but did not wish to be transported to a hospital to be checked. Tayvan Dilleshaw later complained of injury and decided to be transported to the hospital to be checked out. No citations were issued.
