Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Suspicious Death

Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Zaxby’s Restaurant at 910 Riverside Drive Saturday morning just after 8:00AM in reference to a person found unresponsive in a vehicle, in the parking lot. It was reported that the manager came into work this morning and found the 2006 Toyota 4-Runner with the engine running in the parking lot. He looked inside the vehicle and saw a person in the backseat, passenger side. The person appeared to be unresponsive.

The manager busted the passenger side window out and found the person to be a white female. He called 911 to report the incident. The female was identified as 25 year old Blair Chamblee, of Macon. The manager told deputies that he noticed the vehicle in the parking lot yesterday but did not see anyone in it at that time. Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office as well as Crime Scene Investigators are on the scene. The death is being investigated as a suspicious at this time. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the cause of death. The next of kin was notified by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
