The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that was reported to have occurred near the intersection of B Street and A Street at 8:17 p.m.
It was reported that a 30-year-old black male was walking on B Street when he was approached by an unknown black male. The black male said something to the victim and then pulled a firearm. He then shot the victim multiple times in the lower body. The victim was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center for treatment. He is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during this incident.
The suspect had already left the scene before deputies arrived. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
