The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place just before 6:00AM this morning. Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a person shot in the 200 block of Lilly Avenue.
It was reported that 27 year old Nekita Rhodes was walking on Lilly Avenue with another female when a light skinned, black male rode up to her, on a bicycle. The male shot Rhodes once in the right calf and rode away on the bicycle. Rhodes was transported to the Navicent Health by ambulance. The injury is non-life threatening and she is stable and in good condition. The suspect was described as having black hair, wearing a white shirt and camouflage shorts.
