The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that was reported by the Houston Medical Center at around 5:30AM Sunday morning. The victim, 26 year old Jeronte Johnson of Warner Robins Georgia was at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder. When Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators tried to talk with Johnson to find out what occurred, he was not cooperative with them.
Another male, that was reported to be with Johnson and a third male at the time of the incident, told investigators that they were at Club Status, located at 4740 Pionono Avenue, and left around 3:00AM Sunday morning. As they were traveling south on Highway 247, back to Warner Robins Georgia, a small red vehicle drove up alongside of the vehicle that Johnson was traveling in and shot at the vehicle striking Johnson. The male told investigators he drove Johnson to the Houston Medical Center to get him treatment for the gunshot wound. Johnson was treated and released from the hospital.
