The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Maynard Street near Shurling Drive, Tuesday night, just before 9:30PM. When deputies arrived at the Chevron Station located at 815 Shurling Drive they found the victim, 25 year old Dexter Robinson sitting down on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

It was reported by Robinson that he was walking on Maynard Street near Shurling Drive, towards the Chevron Station when he heard a couple of gunshots, then felt as if something struck him in the back of the head. Wood stated he realized he had been shot. He said he did not see where the shots came from or who shot him. It was also reported by another person at the scene that several gunshots were heard. No information is available at this time on the suspect(s). Robinson was taken by ambulance to the Medical Center Navicent Health. The injury is reported to be non-life-threatening and he is listed in stable condition.
