The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred just before 12:00 midnight, Wednesday night, at the Unionville Gym, located at 2227 Mercer University Drive. It was reported that the victim, 18 year old James Bradley and a friend were sitting in an area outside the gym when two black male subjects approached them, armed with guns. Seeing the two suspects armed, Bradley and his friend ran from the area. Bradley stated the suspects fired at him and his friend, chasing after them.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies were dispatched to an address in the 400 block of Blossom Avenue where they were met by Bradley. He had been shot once in the right leg. Bradley was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. He is listed in stable condition and his injuries are reported to be non-life threatening. No one else was injured during the incident. No further information is available on the suspects at this time.
