Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 4951 Romeiser Road, American Best Value Inn just before 8 p.m. in reference to a call of a person shot. When Deputies arrived on scene they found 21-year-old Shannon Williams suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. It was reported that Williams was involved in an altercation with 23-year-old Denyke Glenn. During the physical altercation, a gun was produced by Glenn and he shot Williams once.
Williams was transport by ambulance to the Navicent Health Center for treatment of his injuries. Williams is listed to be in stable condition. His injures are non-life threatening.
Glenn fled the area on foot before deputies arrived on scene.
