Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Houston Avenue near Villa Crest Avenue in reference to a report of a person shot just before 11:15 a.m. Thursday. When deputies arrived they found the victim, 29 year old Javarius Davis, lying on the side of C Mini Mart at 3380 Houston Avenue with a gunshot wound to his lower back.
It was reported that two black males pulled up to Davis in an unknown type vehicle and fired some gunshots from the vehicle, striking Davis as he was standing on the side of the store. The suspects fled the area in the vehicle after shooting Davis. There is no information available at this time on the description of the suspects or the vehicle. Davis was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital by ambulance. He is in stable condition.
