Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a person stabbed just after 2:00 a.m. Friday morning at 3401 Houston Avenue, Pendleton Homes. When deputies arrived at the victim’s apartment they found the victim, 29 year old Wilbur Smith, with a stab wound to his lower back.
Smith reported to deputies that he and his girlfriend were having an argument outside of his apartment at Pendleton Homes when a black male drove up in a vehicle. The male got out of the vehicle, confronted Smith and then stabbed him. After Smith was stabbed, the male and Smith’s girlfriend got into the vehicle and left the scene. Smith was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital by ambulance. The injury to Smith is non-life threatening and he is listed in stable condition. Smith described the vehicle only as being brown in color. No other information is available at this time on the vehicle or suspect.
