Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 3285 Houston Avenue in reference to a person shot just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Deputies found the victim, 29 year old Billy McElroy with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
It was reported that the victim was inside the residence when he heard gunshots strike a window in the house and he was struck. He was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital by ambulance to be treated for the injury. He is listed in stable condition. No information is available on a suspect at this time.
