Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Coliseum Hospital in reference to a person arriving at the hospital with a gunshot wound just before 9:00 p.m. Friday night. Deputies also received information that the shooting occurred at 1178 Hawkinsville Avenue.
It was reported that the 27 year old female victim arrived at the residence at 1178 Hawkinsville Avenue with two other female friends. One of the other females saw a male in the house that she knew and he was told by that female to leave the house as they argued. After he went outside, the victim reported hearing several gunshots outside the residence. After hearing the gunshots, she realized she had been struck in her abdomen. She was inside the house at the time of the shooting. The victim was transported by a third party to the hospital. The victim is listed in stable condition. No further information is available at this time.
