Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are investigating the death of an infant that occurred earlier today. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence at 985 Plant Street at around 11:30AM today in reference to a child reported to be unresponsive.
It was reported that a 15 month old male infant was found unresponsive by the mother. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the residence and the infant was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed.
This incident is currently under investigation and no further information can be released at this time.
