Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies were flagged down this morning in the parking lot of Unionville Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3837 Houston Avenue in reference to a person cut. Moments later, deputies answered a call at the intersection of Antioch Road and Greter Street in reference to a person shot.
Deputies spoke with 34 year old Christopher Coleman Jr. in the church parking lot. It was reported that Coleman and his girlfriend, 32 year old Vicky Briscoe, went to pick up their children from Vicky’s sister, 34 year old Shanta Briscoe, from Shanta’s home on Villa Esta Circle. Coleman reported that an argument took place between him and Shanta and she cut him on the left arm with a knife. After being cut, Coleman fired shots from a handgun , but did not strike her. Shanta jumped on the hood of Coleman’s 1999 Lincoln Towncar and began stomping and kicking the vehicle. The altercation continued to Antioch Road at Greter Street.
Deputies made contact with Shanta Briscoe at the intersection of Antioch Road at Greter Street, where the person was reported to be shot. It was discovered that Shanta had not been shot.
