Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 668 Oglethorpe Street in reference to a call that came into the Macon-Bibb 911 Dispatch just before 2:20 a.m. Wednesday morning about information of a person shot. The shooting was reported to have occurred at 156 Briar Creek Trail. When deputies arrived at the residence they found a male victim shot. EMS was notified and responded to the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was reported that the victim and a male at the home on Briar Creek Trail had been in contact with each other prior to the victim coming to the home. The victim came to the home on Briar Creek Trail in reference to some type of transaction. The victim was shot by one of two males at the house. The two males ran from the home after the shooting and contacted a relative of one of the men. The relative picked up the two men on Eisenhower Parkway.  This is when the relative drove to the Sheriff’s Office on Oglethorpe Street to report the information of the incident. Both males are detained at this time and are being questioned by investigators.
