Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of two people shot just after 4:00PM today at the Flash Foods located at 1194 Forsyth Street. It was reported that gunshots were heard outside the convenience store. The store clerk went outside and saw a black male slumped over inside a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo parked next to the store, in the parking lot. The clerk called the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident.
When deputies arrived they found a black male fatally shot inside of the Monte Carlo. Another black male was also shot during the incident and taken to the Navicent Health. It was reported the male that was shot and taken to the Navicent Health was in what was described as a white Nissan Sentra, with the driver that drove up in the Nissan prior to the shooting. Investigators are looking for a white Nissan Sentra, possibly a 2012.
The name of the victim that was fatally shot and the male at the Navicent Health that was shot are not being released at this time, pending notification of their families. More information will be released as soon as it it available.
