Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot at 146 South Haven Court at around 10:20 p.m. Sunday night. When deputies arrived they found a white male lying on the ground outside the address with a gunshot wound.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. Also at the home were two other people, a male, identified as 27 year old Brian Kim and a female identified as 27 year old Julia Brooks. Kim’s family lives at the home.

It was reported that Kim and Brooks had just left the home when the security cameras at the home alerted them that there was motion around the outside of the residence. When they returned to the home they saw a white male approaching from the side of the house. The male had a handgun. The male continued to approach the vehicle in a threatening manner, with Kim and Brooks inside the vehicle. It was reported that gunshots were fired from both Kim and the male. It was also reported that Brooks had a past relationship with the male which she had ended and he had left another state to get away from him.
