Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to 3601 Mercer University Dr., Macon Garden Apartments, in reference to a carjacking just after 9:45 p.m. tonight. Deputies were flagged down by the 39-year-old black male victim from Macon. The victim stated he was at the apartment complex when two black males wearing all black approached him and his passenger. one brandishing a handgun and the second a brick. The victim stated the suspect with the gun hit him in the head and demanded his vehicle, a red 2003 Dodge Durango. The passenger was able to exit the vehicle without incident. Deputies placed a lookout for the stolen vehicle.
The passenger was not injured during this incident. The driver sustained a cut to his head but declined medical attention. No further suspect information is available at this time.
