Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators responded the Navicent Health Hospital in reference to a person shot at 961 Tenney Ave just before 6:00 a.m. this morning. Investigators met with victim, 24 year old Marvin Leon Cooper III. He had been shot once in the left leg.
It was reported by Cooper that he was walking through Alphabet City (Murphy Homes) when some subjects dressed as clowns jumped out of a vehicle that he could give no description of and started shooting. After further questioning Cooper admitted to lying about being shot by clowns. Cooper stated he had been shot by an unknown male after the male asked him did he have any drugs. Cooper stated he responded no and turned to walk away and was shot. Cooper stated he did not know the location of the incident or the description of the male.
Cooper was listed in stable condition. No further information is available on the suspect.
