The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at an apartment at Wilshire Woods Apartment Complex located at 2560 Rockycreek Road. Deputies were dispatched to the apartment just after 4:00p.m. today. It was reported that 18 year old Quinten Jackson and two other friends were inside one of the apartments in the Q building, talking. Jackson pulled a gun out that he was carrying and emptied all of the bullets out of it. Jackson placed one bullet back into the gun and pointed the gun at himself and pulled the trigger twice before the gun discharged, striking Jackson in the head.
One of the friends that was with Jackson called 911 to get help for him. He was transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health to be treated for the single gunshot wound. He is listed in critical condition.
