The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place just after 6:30 p.m. this evening. Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a person shot, arriving at the Coliseum hospital emergency room.
The victim was identified as 19 year old Marquis Reginald Lowe of Macon. Lowe was later pronounced dead by doctors. The next of kin was notified by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
It was reported that the incident occurred at an abandoned car wash at the corner of Main Street and Jones Ave.
No further information is available at this time. This incident is currently under investigation.
