Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot at around 11:00PM Sunday night at 928 Gray Highway, O’Reilly Auto Parts Store. It was reported, when deputies arrived at the location, they found a black male lying on the ground, behind the building with a gunshot wound. Other people that were present when the shooting occurred were also at the scene.
The male that was shot was transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health by ambulance. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The name and age of the person is not being released until the next of kin has been notified.
Investigators are currently interviewing the individuals that were at the scene when the incident occurred. More information and details of the shooting will be released when it becomes available.
