Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects involved in the robbery and homicide of 40 year old Prakash Patel, who was fatally shot during an armed robbery at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 3306 Bloomfield Drive early Saturday morning.
One suspect is described as a black male wearing a black bandanna, black hoodie, black pants, white belt, and black shoes with a white sole. The second suspect is described as a black male with dreads. He was wearing a blue bandanna, black and blue hoodie, black pants, white under shirt, red shorts under his pants and black tennis shoes.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Armed Robbery And Fatal Shooting At Convenience Store
Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot just before 1:30AM Saturday morning at 3306 Bloomfield Drive, the Sunoco Gas Station. It was reported, when deputies arrived at the location they found a male cashier lying on the floor, behind the counter with a gunshot wound. Other people that were present when the shooting occurred were also at the scene, but were not injured.
It was reported that two armed males wearing black hoodies and bandannas over their face entered the store and demanded money from the victim. One of the males jumped over the counter and pointed silver in color handgun at the victim who is identified as 40 year old Prakash Patel. The other suspect pointed a sawed off shotgun at Patel. During the robbery Patel was shot by one of the suspects in the lower abdomen. He was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital by ambulance, where he later died.
