Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a vehicle broken into at 111 Trojan Trail, Tattnall Square Academy on Thursday, January 14th. While enroute to the location, deputies received a description of a white male seen wondering around the school property. An investigator with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office happened to be in the area and spotted the male fitting the description of the suspect. The investigator stopped and detained the male while deputies located the vehicle that was broken into and made contact with witnesses that saw the male suspect enter into the vehicle.
The male, identified as 23 year old Wesley Powell Gilbert, was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Investigations Office to be questioned. Gilbert was charged with Entering an Auto and Possession of Marijuana. At the time Gilbert was arrested he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He is also charged with a Probation Violation. His bond is set at $2,600.00.
