Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to 4285 Pio Nono Avenue, the Waffle House, in regards to a bomb threat just before 8:00a.m Monday morning. The caller stated that there was a bomb in the restaurant. Deputies cleared the restaurant of all employees and customer. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Unit checked the building and determined that it was safe and that there were no devices in the building. Everyone was allowed to re-enter the restaurant.
Deputies responded a second time just before 10:00a.m. to 4285 Pio Nono Avenue, the Waffle House, in regards to another bomb threat being called into the Sheriff’s Office. Deputes cleared the area and the Bomb Disposal Unit responded and checked the location again. There were no devices in or around the Waffle House. The second call came from the same person. Bibb County Investigators are actively working the case to identify the suspect.
