Bibb County Sheriff Deputies responded to the C Mini Mart, located at 3380 Houston Avenue at around 6:15 p.m. Monday afternoon in reference to gunshots fired outside the business. It was reported that a group of people were at the corner of Houston Avenue and Villa Crest Avenue near the store when multiple gunshots were heard. When deputies arrived the unknown individuals had already fled the scene. A glass pane on the store was struck during the gunfire. There were no reports of injuries.
Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office recovered some shell casings at the scene. They are currently investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
