Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies along with Bibb County Fire Department responded to several calls of bomb threats that where received via email, just after 2:00p.m Thursday evening. It was reported that several businesses received a email stating there was a bomb in the buildings. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department checked the locations and determined that it was safe and that there were no devices in the buildings. Bibb County Investigators were advised by FBI that the email threats are currently being received nationwide. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office ask that if you receive an email threat first follow your business security measures, make sure no unauthorized persons have entered your location and contact law enforcement.
