Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a burglary occurring at the Downtown Motors, located at 609 Second just before 10:00PM Wednesday night, December 10, 2015. It was reported that when deputies arrived at the business they found a black male, identified as 35 year old Kenneth Bernard Mays, inside the business.

The front door of the business had been damaged from being forced open. There was also visible damage to the alarm system and the business had been ransacked. Mays was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Investigations Office and questioned about the incident. Mays was charged with Burglary and also for a probation violation. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charges. No bond has been set at this time.
