Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call in reference to a report of a black male looking into vehicles in the 2600 block of C Street on Friday, November 24, 2017 just before 6:00 a.m. Information was given by a resident in the neighborhood who described the male as wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a white t-shirt. Deputies arrived at the location and attempted to stop a male fitting the description given. The male took off running from deputies. He was caught after a brief foot chase and detained for questioning. The male, later identified as 17 year old Ruben Gibson, was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division to be interviewed. During the interview with Gibson, it was discovered that he had broken into two vehicles in the area of C Street and Henrietta Street.
Gibson was charged with Entering Auto and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. His bond was set at $2,840.00. He was released on bond.
