Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a residential burglary in progress at a home in the 3600 block of Lyons Street on Saturday just before 11:30AM. When the first deputy arrived at the home and pulled into the driveway, he saw a blue Honda Odyssey Van pulled out of sight from the road. As the deputy walked towards the van, 3 black males ran from the vehicle into a wooded area behind the house. The deputy chased the suspects, losing sight of them on West Ormond Terrace. The deputy gave a lookout for the suspects.

A second Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputy went to Colonial Terrace Apartment Complex which is near the site where the suspects were lost sight of. The deputy received information that two males had just ran out of an area behind the apartment complex that comes from West Ormond Terrace. The deputy in the apartment complex located the two males in the area of a path that leads into the complex from West Ormond Terrace. They were identified as 19 year old Bobby Haynes Jr. and 19 year old Ibn Andrews, both from Macon. Both men were detained and taken back to the District 2 Office where they were questioned by an Investigator with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Financial Crimes Unit.

Haynes and Andrews were both charged with Theft by Taking in reference to the Honda Odyssey which was stolen. Andrews is also charged with a Probation Violation. Both were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charges. Haynes was released on a $4,050.00 bond. Andrews has a bond amount of $4,050.00. He remains in the Bibb LEC.
