Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a personal armed robbery that took place on Dent Street near Pionono Avenue Saturday morning just after 3:00AM. It was reported that two male subjects in a Dodge Durango approached the two juvenile victims, both 15 years old, on Dent Street as they were walking from a store. One of the suspects pointed a pistol at the victims and took several items from them. Deputies located the Durango and the suspects soon after the incident. One suspect, who is a 13 year old juvenile and the second suspect, identified as 18 year old James Allen, of Macon, were located inside the home of the juvenile suspect.
The juvenile suspect and Allen were taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division to be questioned. Allen was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, underage possession of a handgun, cruelty to children and possession of marijuana. Allen was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. No bond has been set for Allen.
The juvenile was turned over to the custody of a relative at the present time. Charges on the juvenile are pending further investigation of the incident. The two victims were not injured during the incident.
